The Kid That Talks Too Much
🗣️As a kid, I was often told I talked too much - so now, it's an incredible honor to be invited to speak or serve as a panelist at professional events. It's a testament to the journey of embracing my authentic voice, becoming a consultant, an entrepreneur and forming Ripple Acts a few years ago am really happy to not always have to feel confined representing organizations (that sometimes did not affirm my perspective or lived experience).
🗯️Being able to speak my mind without feeling constrained and using it for meaningful conversations with peers and initiatives, has been life changing.🙏🏿
🎙️Excited to speak for the development DEI group of the Boston Children's Hospital Trust and addressing their team of advancement leaders on the intersection of philanthropy, recommitment to diversity, and the role of fundraisers in promoting social impact.
🪢The title of my talk?
"Strength in Unity: Upholding Diversity Amidst Diversity."
I'll be sharing insights on the power of inclusivity and collaboration and continuing steadfast in driving positive change within organizations and communities, regardless of the headwinds. 💨
Thank you Angela Scala, Keri Campiola, Kendel Davy and team for the kind invitation.
👍🏽I'm thrilled to share my expertise as a philanthropist, fundraiser, and social impact consultant, and “kid that talked to much” to contribute to the important dialogue around the #future of #diversity, #equity, and #inclusion in our organizations.
💬Were you told by teachers or other adults that you talked too much as kid?
How has that impacted you as an adult?
Please share.
Let's come together to create a more united and diverse world and lets continue to talk a lot!!
